First of all you’re mentioning your Phat PlayStation 3 models? Why? It has a PlayStation 2-Emulation Chip inside of it, of course it will not harm the system in any way. It's like saying "Don't try to run PSX games on your Wii or you'll shorten its life hurr hurr".Just Silly lolĬlick to expand.I made a deeper look into your reply and will now open your mind at least a little bit. Also, while yes, they can go the PS2 route, they shouldn't have to if they have a system that can do it. Hell, my super ghetto modded Saturn still works fine and that was my first big soldering job (I was like 11 or 12 lol). The point is, as long as you keep your systems ventilated and maintained, they can last 10+ years even with mods. Same thing happens with dot hack, it is unplayable on slim PS3's, but will not harm the system in anyway when it crashes. What he is running into is a bug in the SOFTWARE EMULATOR, plain and simple. PS2 remasters on the slim are software emulated and the system is DESIGNED for that. Your whole talk about "Shortening life spans" is nonsense. One of them has the Cobra ODE, and the other two are running Rebug and are slims. One is on 3.55 running geo's old as cfw (a phat launch 60GB btw) and it runs great to this day. I have 4 ps3's with a library of about 145 games, ALL of them are modded in someway shape or form. You literally have no idea what you are talking about.
